How Does IPL Work?
IPL precisely targets key skin structures known as chromophores, addressing a range of concerns including pigmentation, thread veins, acne, melasma, rosacea, papules, and cysts.
The warmth of the light stimulates collagen production, refines the pores, and helps protect the skin against free radical damage—supporting long-term skin health and graceful ageing.
Why Is a Course of Treatments Recommended?
For optimal and long-lasting results, a course of 3–6 IPL treatments is advised. Each session enhances the effects of the previous one, delivering cumulative improvements while helping to prevent the return of underlying skin concerns. Treatments are spaced approximately four weeks apart to harmonise with the skin’s natural renewal cycle.
Post-Treatment Experience
There is no downtime following your IPL facial. You may experience mild warmth or slight redness immediately after treatment, which typically subsides quickly. Pigmented areas or veins may appear temporarily darker before softly fading within 3–5 days. In some cases, light flaking or crusting may occur—this is a natural part of the skin’s renewal process and a sign the treatment is working.
